lgtbiq+
lgtbiq+ people continue to face discrimination, violence, and inequality that limit their ability to fully exercise their rights. these realities are often exacerbated when different axes of structural discrimination—such as anti-rromani bias, racism, sexism, poverty, or social exclusion—intersect.
la fragua projects develops programmes to raise awareness, promote, and defend the rights of lgtbiq+ people from a comprehensive perspective that encompasses human rights, feminism, and anti-racism. we promote initiatives aimed at combating prejudice, strengthening social and community participation, and contributing to the building of more just, inclusive, and democratic societies.
we also work to recover and highlight the historical, social, cultural, and community contributions of lgtbiq+ people rromani or racialised. we believe it is necessary to recover, document, and highlight stories, role models, and experiences that have contributed to the construction of our collective identities but have all too often been erased from dominant narratives.
