la fragua projects accompanies the bcn antirumors network in the process of drawing up its new action plan 2027-2031, the road map that will guide the network's work in the coming years.

the bcn antirumors network is a space for participation and collective action formed by entities, municipal services, professionals and citizens committed to the fight against racism, prejudice, discrimination and hate speech. after more than a decade of history, the network faces a new stage in which it is essential to review the current challenges, consolidate the lessons learned and define new shared priorities.

This project has as its objective the construction of a renewed strategy in a participatory manner that allows continuing to strengthen the capacity of the network to promote a more diverse, inclusive and intercultural city.

a process based on participation and networking

the development of the new action plan is developed through a participatory methodology that places at the center the experience, knowledge and proposals of the people and entities that are part of the network.

based on the analysis of the trajectory of the network, the existing strategic documents and the main social and political challenges of the current context, a process of collective reflection is promoted aimed at identifying needs, opportunities and priority lines of work for the period 2027-2031.

the project includes spaces for debate, shared diagnosis and construction of consensus that allow collecting the diversity of views present in the network and transforming them into concrete proposals for action.

strengthen the fight against rumours, prejudices and discrimination

the proposal seeks to reinforce the role of the BCN anti-rumors network as a key player in the promotion of inclusive narratives and in the prevention of discriminatory discourses.

for this, the future plan of action will pay special attention to the strengthening of the participation of the entities, the generation of alliances, the improvement of the coordination mechanisms and the capacity of the network to respond to the emerging challenges linked to racism and other forms of discrimination.

likewise, the process incorporates an intercultural, anti-racist and intersectional perspective that makes it possible to understand the complexity of current inequalities and promote more effective and transformative collective responses.
