a new pan-european thematic network – disqo – aims to address the impact of structural racism and discrimination on physical and mental health inequalities, an issue that so far has gained little attention in the public health domain. disqo brings together stakeholders across policy domains to facilitate dialogue and best practice sharing among them, and to provide support and incentives to the european commission and national policymakers to advance the work on anti-racism and anti-discrimination to reduce the health inequity gap. the network has been initiated and is led by the european public health alliance (epha), and currently comprises 24 organisations, la fragua projects among them. the ambition is to expand the network, to organise a series of webinars on the topic, and to jointly develop a joint statement within six to nine months, summarising the common position and providing policy recommendations.
